The Right-of-Way Process – starts August 2017
The right-of-way acquisition process for the US 219 Improvement Project started with approval of the environmental document. Fourteen properties will be impacted, and three buildings will be displaced by the project. Design Build Process - Final Design starts Fall 2017
MDOT SHA is currently in the procurement process to select a design-build team. MDOT SHA will hire one team in fall 2017 which will be responsible for the final design and construction of the project. The design-build process allows for a shorter project delivery timeframe since the design and construction are occurring simultaneously.
